Make sure the Minecraft Launcher is NOT running. You don’t need to actually launch the game. 
Run the Minecraft Launcher on your PC at least once to make the game folders.You can install Vivecraft multiple times with different options with no issue. Installation is the same the first time you install and for updates. Follow these instructions to install the Vivecraft client. These versions no longer receive updates and may not include all the features described on this site. Downloads and instructions for this version can be found on curseforge or modrinth. Vivecraft 1.18.X and 1.19.X is available as a mixin-based mod for Forge or Fabric.
